1. Three-day weekends with Scott.
2. Family shopping trips. I can't wait until we can take London to the zoo or museums or theme parks, but for now, shopping trips with Scott and London are the closest to it. Shopping trips are the highlights of my week. Especially, when Scott's the one who suggests we go. Like yesterday, when he suggested we head out to San Tan Mall. I know, Scott suggesting that we go shopping...it's surreal.
3. Waking up at 2 am to find Scott feeding London so that I could sleep through the night. Sweetest thing ever.

Happy Things, Part II

1. Roses from Scott for Mother's Day. I am a mother now. Weird. And amazing. I pushed a baby out of my body and now I spend all day and night taking care of him. It is the hardest thing I have ever done and I have way more respect for all mother's now and for the work they do. And I used to think all these stay-at-home moms were just chillin'... Reality check. The life of a mother is hard work! I'm so grateful for my mom for all she went through to give me life and to raise me. And so grateful for Scott's mom for raising him to be such a sweet boy and good husband.

2. Getting to talk to my favorite sister missionary who is all the way in London, England, via Skype on Mother's Day.

3. London only woke up once last night!!!!! He went to bed at 10 pm, woke up at 1 am to eat and then didn't wake up until we usually do-around 5 am. It was AMAZING!  I feel like a whole new person!  Sometimes, when he wakes up a lot at night, I feel like I am in a torture chamber and they are using sleep deprivation as a way to make me insane. Even two straight hours of sleep is a rare miracle these days.  So last night's 4.5 hours of sleep combined, was a huge blessing!  I feel semi-sane today.

4. London laughing for the first time today. He smiled in his sleep and then started laughing in his sleep. It was so cute, that I started laughing and then he did it again! Made my day! So cute.

5. George Costanza hair...mostly bald on top, nice ring of hair around the sides and back.

6. Catching this babe's smile on video. Love it.

2/Infinity

Today is our second anniversary. It's been two great years of lovin' and we've got a cute baby to show for it. I'm so glad I chose Scott. He has helped me achieve so many things and has helped me to push myself and do more than I thought I could. He is the best husband and is so good to me. I am so in love with him.

One Month Old

Yesterday London turned one month old. He is starting to look a little bigger each day. His skinny bird legs have acquired tiny rolls of fat and it looks like his face and neck have also gained some weight. I love fat babies and wouldn't mind if he becomes one. He is so cute. A few times a day, he will be very alert and fairly interactive. He loves being sung to and will give us big wide-mouthed smiles when we sing to him and also smiles sometimes when I laugh. He loves my attention. The other day, I cradled him in my arms while I made pancake batter and explained the whole process to him. He loved it and looked at me with genuine interest and gave me a few big smiles. I love this little guy.

Due Date

Today is London's due date and yet here's already been with us for over three weeks. He has already grown  from 6 lbs 11.5 oz to 7 lbs 4 oz. It's weird to think that he could have still been growing inside me all this time. I don't know if I could have handled being pregnant much longer than I was, plus I am grateful that I didn't have to push out a seven pounder. Scott and I love having this sweet little guy in our home now and I don't mind that he came a little early.

3 Weeks Old

He's Here

London Craig Cardon was born on April 14th, 2013, at 10:14 pm, 6 lbs. 11.5 oz, 20 inches long.  Though slightly premature, he was healthy except for a mild case of jaundice.  Labor was great! Recovery sucks. Someday I may get around to blogging about it all, but right now I am still trying to heal + get the hang of this mom thing, which leaves little time for much else.  But a midst the struggles of postpartum, I love the sweet moments I get to experience with baby London everyday and enjoy the time we get to spend together as a growing little family.
